Middletown
On October 14, the Middletown School Readiness Council held a special reception for Senator Thomas Gaffey to thank him for expanding the School Readiness program in their community. Ready Rabbit also visited Middletown on April 16 to kickoff Middletown's recruitment efforts for Ready, Set, Grow and the "Middletown Children's Posse".

Chaplin
Ready Rabbit was a wonderful addition to our Chaplin Discovery Day. The
children were so happy to come and shake his hand as he handed out candy to
all the children. He started off our bicycle parade.

Ready Rabbit Visits
Meriden
Ready, Set, RECRUIT! Meriden takes their goal of 757 Friends of Connecticut's Young Children very seriously and so does Ready Rabbit. He visited Meriden for the first time on August 23 as part of their "Back to School" event and helped Meriden recruit more than 100 new Friends in only 2 hours. Not a bad morning!

New Britain
Ready Rabbit hopped out to New Britain on July 21 and helped them sign up 63 new Friends...The New Britain Discovery Collaborative invited Ready Rabbit to attend the New Britain Parks and Recreation Children's Festival and he was a big hit!

Bristol
Ready Rabbit made a special appearance at the annual Bristol School Readiness Health Fair. The health fair provided more than 200 children with fun programs to help them learn about healthy living, including nutrition, lyme disease, fire safety, and good oral hygiene.

North Haven
This event, attended by nearly 100 people, was the first of a two day series of forums entitled "Economic Development Through Early Childhood Investment" and featured Art Rolnick, director of research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and Ready Rabbit was enjoyed this opportunity to hop out to North Haven. Mr. Rolnick co-authored a report naming early childhood development as the single most important means of successful economic development available to towns and states.

Stamford
Ready Rabbit and Art Rolnick, Director of Research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, made a repeat appearance on Day Two of the "Economic Development Through Early Childhood Investment" forum. This time, they were in Stamford at the Dolan School of Business at Fairfield University and boy, were they in good company! Nearly one hundred people, including many representatives of the business community, attended the event.
